At Roro’s we work hard to ensure our ingredients are fresh and from local vendors
How We Got Our Start
RoRo’s got their start in 2019 in historic downtown Frederick, Md.
Roro’s opened on January 7, 2019 on Frederick’s beautiful Carroll Creek in downtown. The new digs has seating for about 120 and a spacious bar and lounge area to relaxation and fun. Founders Ronald Balcazar and Rolando Balcazar, who are cousins, had a vision of a fun and family friendly Mexican restaurant that served authentic and fresh food in an atmosphere that appealed to everyone. From these humble beginnings RoRo’s was born.
Inspiration For Fun
Ronald and Rolando, along with their inspiration from Cabo Wabo, made some interesting and creative decisions on restaurant décor. From the bright red leather couches in the lounge area, potted palms and cactus to the red, orange and yellow stripes on the walls, RoRos’s created a a fun, yet interesting environment to enjoy their great food and drinks. They also partnered with a local creative agency to help move things along with the design of their whimsical logo and the chili pepper characters all the way down to the mural of Mariachi band and Dancing Girls on the back wall.
Fresh Food to the People
RoRo’s decided it was time to let the Frederick community in on their recipes full of fresh goodness. It just didn’t feel right to keep their made from scratch dishes and out of this world service and atmosphere to themselves anymore. With that desire to “spice things up and spread the love,” they opened RoRo’s. From there they are spreading their vision of fresh, authentic Mexican and Bolivian cuisine to food and fun lovers everywhere.
